HANTOLOGIE

 

HANTOLOGIE is a modern ceremony based on an archaeological principle, during which audiences as well as actors are situated in the center of an ambulatory structure. By imagining that they have unearthed the remains of some ancient theatre, the collective attempts to reconstruct the peculiar, particular rite of live performance. It is a time for revisiting the codes of theatrical representation while also creating others, sharing these new rules of the game with the audience.
